THE DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY IS SEARCHING YOUR FACEBOOK AND TWITTER FOR THESE WORDS

The Department of Homeland Security monitors your updates on social networks, including Facebook and Twitter, to uncover “Items Of Interest” (IOI), according to an internal DHS document released by the EPIC. That document happens to include a list of the baseline terms for which the DHS–or more specifically, a DHS subcontractor hired to monitor social networks–use to generate real-time IOI reports. (Although the released PDF is generally all reader-selectable text, the list of names was curiously embedded as an image of text, preventing simple indexing. We’ve fixed that below.)

To be fair, the DHS does have an internal privacy policy that attempts to strip your “PII”–Personally Identifiable Information–from the aggregated tweets and status updates, with some broad exceptions:

1) U.S. and foreign individuals in extremis situations involving potential life or death circumstances; (this is no change)
2) Senior U.S. and foreign government officials who make public statements or provide public updates;
3) U.S. and foreign government spokespersons who make public statements or provide public updates;
4) U.S. and foreign private sector officials and spokespersons who make public statements or provide public updates;
5) Names of anchors, newscasters, or on-scene reporters who are known or identified as reporters in their post or article or who use traditional and/or social media in real time to keep their audience situationally aware and informed;
6) Current and former public officials who are victims of incidents or activities related to Homeland Security; and
7) Terrorists, drug cartel leaders or other persons known to have been involved in major crimes of Homeland Security interest, (e.g., mass shooters such as those at Virginia Tech or Ft. Hood) who are killed or found dead. 

In addition, the Media Monitoring Capability team can transmit personal information to the DHS National Operations Center over the phone as deemed necessary.

The MMC watch may provide the name, position, or other information considered to be PII to the NOC over the telephone when approved by the appropriate DHS OPS authority. But that information must not be stored in a database that could be searched by an individual’s PII. 

In addition to the following list of terms, the DHS can also add additional search terms circumstantially as deemed necessary.

How is the U.S. economy doing in 2012?  Unfortunately, it is not doing nearly as well as the mainstream media would have you believe.  Yes, things have stabilized for the moment but this bubble of false hope will not last for long.  The long-term trends that are ripping our economy and our financial system to shreds continue unabated.  When you step back and look at the broader picture, it is hard to deny that we are in really bad shape and that things are rapidly getting worse.  Later on in this article you will find a list of interesting facts that show the true state of the U.S. economy.  Hopefully many of you will find this list to be a useful tool that you can share with your family and friends.  Each day the foundations of our economy crumble a little bit more, and we need to wake up as many Americans as we can to what is really going on while there is still time.  We have accumulated way too much debt, we consume far more wealth than we produce, millions of our jobs are being shipped overseas, our big cities are decaying, family budgets are being squeezed more than ever, poverty is rampant and we have raised several generations of Americans that expect the government to fix all of their problems.  The U.S. economy is at a crossroads, and the decisions that the American people make in 2012 are going to be incredibly important.

The statistics listed below are presented without much commentary.  They pretty much speak for themselves.

After reading this list, it will be hard for anyone to argue that we are on the right track.

The following are 55 interesting facts about the U.S. economy in 2012….

#1 As you read this, there are more than 6 million mortgages in the United States that are overdue.

#2 In January, U.S. home prices were the lowest that they have been in more than a decade.

#3 In Florida right now, some drivers are paying nearly 6 dollars for a gallon of gas.

#4 On average, you could buy about 10 gallons of gas for an hour of work back in the mid-90s.  Today, the average hour of work will get you less than 6 gallons of gas.

#5 Sadly, 43 percent of all American families spend more than they earn each year.

#6 According to Gallup, the unemployment rate was at 8.3% in mid-January but rose to 9.0% in mid-February.

#7 The percentage of working age Americans that have jobs is not increasing.  The employment to population ratio has stayed very steady (hovering between 58% and 59%) since the beginning of 2010.

#8 If you gathered together all of the workers that are “officially” unemployed in the United States into one nation, they would constitute the 68th largest country in the entire world.

#9 When Barack Obama first took office, the number of “long-term unemployed workers” in the United States was approximately 2.6 million.  Today, that number is sitting at 5.6 million.

#10 The average duration of unemployment in the United States is hovering close to an all-time record high.

#11 According to Reuters, approximately 23.7 million American workers are either unemployed or underemployed right now.

#12 There are about 88 million working age Americans that are not employed and that are not looking for employment.  That is an all-time record high.

#13 According to CareerBuilder, only 23 percent of American companies plan to hire more employees in 2012.

#14 Back in the year 2000, about 20 percent of all jobs in America were manufacturing jobs.  Today, about 5 percent of all jobs in America are manufacturing jobs.

#15 The United States has lost an average of approximately 50,000 manufacturing jobs a month since China joined the World Trade Organization in 2001.

#16 Amazingly, more than 56,000 manufacturing facilities in the United States have been shut down since 2001.

#17 According to author Paul Osterman, about 20 percent of all U.S. adults are currently working jobs that pay poverty-level wages.

#18 During the Obama administration, worker health insurance costs have risen by 23 percent.

#19 An all-time record 49.9 million Americans do not have any health insurance at all at this point, and the percentage of Americans covered by employer-based health plans has fallen for 11 years in a row.

#20 According to the New York Times, approximately 100 million Americans are either living in poverty or in “the fretful zone just above it”.

#21 In the United States today, corporate profits are at an all-time high.  The percentage of Americans that are living in “extreme poverty” is also at an all-time high according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

#22 In the United States today, the wealthiest one percent of all Americans have a greater net worth than the bottom 90 percent combined.

#23 The poorest 50 percent of all Americans now collectively own just 2.5% of all the wealth in the United States.

#26 Since Barack Obama entered the White House, the number of Americans on food stamps has increased from 32 million to 46 million.

#27 As the economy has slowed down, so has the number of marriages.  According to a Pew Research Center analysis, only 51 percent of all Americans that are at least 18 years old are currently married.  Back in 1960, 72 percent of all U.S. adults were married.

#28 In 1984, the median net worth of households led by someone 65 or older was 10 times larger than the median net worth of households led by someone 35 or younger.  Today, the median net worth of households led by someone 65 or older is 47 times larger than the median net worth of households led by someone 35 or younger.

#29 If you can believe it, 37 percent of all U.S. households that are led by someone under the age of 35 have a net worth of zero or less than zero.

#30 After adjusting for inflation, U.S. college students are borrowing about twice as much money as they did a decade ago.

#31 According to the Student Loan Debt Clock, total student loan debt in the United States will surpass the 1 trillion dollar mark at some point in 2012.  If you went out right now and starting spending one dollar every single second, it would take you more than 31,000 years to spend one trillion dollars.

#32 Today, 46% of all Americans carry a credit card balance from month to month.

#33 Incredibly, one out of every seven Americans has at least 10 credit cards.

#34 The average interest rate on a credit card that is carrying a balance is now up to 13.10 percent.

#35 Of the U.S. households that do have credit card debt, the average amount of credit card debt is an astounding $15,799.

#36 Overall, Americans are carrying a grand total of $798 billion in credit card debt.  If you were alive when Jesus was born and you spent a million dollars every single day since then, you still would not have spent $798 billion by now.

#37 It may be hard to believe, but the truth is that consumer debt in America has increased by a whopping 1700% since 1971.

#38 At this point, about 70 percent of all auto purchases in the United States involve an auto loan.

#39 In the United States today, 45 percent of all auto loans are made to subprime borrowers.

#40 Mortgage debt as a percentage of GDP has more than tripled since 1955.

#41 According to a recent study conducted by the BlackRock Investment Institute, the ratio of household debt to personal income in the United States is now 154 percent.

#42 To get the same purchasing power that you got out of $20.00 back in 1970 you would have to have more than $116 today.

#43 When Barack Obama first took office, an ounce of gold was going for about $850.  Today an ounce of gold costs more than $1700 an ounce.

Bad news, eh?

But it isn’t just our economy that is decaying.

We are witnessing a tremendous amount of social decay as well.  As I wrote about the other day, America is rapidly decomposing right in front of our eyes.

When the water level of a river drops far enough, it will reveal rocks that have been hidden from view for a very long time.  Well, a similar thing is happening in America right now.  For decades, our debt-fueled prosperity has masked a lot of the social decay that has been going on.

But now that our prosperity is evaporating, a lot of frightening stuff is being revealed.

Unfortunately, another major financial crisis is rapidly approaching and economic conditions in the United States are going to get a lot worse.

So what is our country going to look like when that happens?

That is a very good question.

Barack Hussien Obama is no fool.  He is not incompetent. To the contrary, he is brilliant.  He knows exactly what he’s doing. He is purposely overwhelming the U.S. Economy to create systemic     failure. Economic crisis and social chaos — thereby destroying capitalism and Our country from within. Barack Hussien Obama was my college classmate.  ( Columbia University , class of ’83). He is a devout Muslim do not be fooled. Look at his Czars…anti-business..anti- American. As Glenn Beck correctly predicted from day one!  Barack Hussien Obama is     following the plan of Cloward &Piven, two professors at Columbia University .. They outlined a plan to socialize America by overwhelming the system. With government spending and entitlement demands. Add up the clues below. Taken individually they’re alarming. Taken as a whole, it is a brilliant, Machiavellian game plan to turn the United States into a socialist/Marxist state with a permanent majority, That desperately needs government for survival … and can be counted on to always vote for bigger government. Why not? They have no responsibility to pay for it.
Universal Health Care .  The health care bill had very little to do with health care. It had everything  to do with unionizing millions of hospital and health care workers, as well as adding 15,000 to 20,000 new IRS agents (who will join government employee unions). Obama doesn’t care  that giving free health care to 30 million Americans will add  trillions to the national debt.  What he does care about is     that it cements the dependence of those 30 million voters to Democrats and big government. Who, but a socialist revolutionary would pass this reckless spending bill in the middle of a depression?

Cap &Trade.  Like health care legislation having nothing to do with health care, Cap &Trade has nothing to do with global warming. It has everything to do with redistribution of income,  with government in control of the economy and a criminal payoff to Obama’s biggest     contributors. Those powerful and wealthy unions and contributors (like GE, which owns NBC, MSNBC and CNBC) can then be counted on to support everything Obama wants. They will kick-back hundreds of millions of dollars in contributions to Obama and the Democratic Party to keep them in power.  The bonus is that all the new taxes on Americans with bigger cars, bigger homes and businesses helps Obama “spread the wealth around.”

Make Puerto Rico a state. Why?  Who’s asking for a 51st state? Who’s asking for  millions of new welfare recipients and government entitlement addicts in the middle of a depression? Certainly not American taxpayers. But this has been Barack Hussien Obama’s plan all along. His goal is to add two new Democrat senators, five Democrat congressman and a million loyal Democratic voters who are dependent on big government.
Legalize 12 million illegal Mexican immigrants. Just giving these 12 million potential new citizens free health care alone could overwhelm the system and bankrupt     America . But it adds 12 million reliable new Democrat voters who can be counted on to support big government.  Add another few trillion dollars in welfare, aid to dependent children, food stamps, free medical, education, tax credits for the poor, and eventually Social Security.    

Stimulus and bailouts. Where did all that money go? It went to Democrat contributors, organizations (ACORN), and unions — including billions of dollars to save or create jobs of government employees across the country.  It went to save GM and Chrysler so that their employees could keep paying union dues. It went to AIG so that Goldman Sachs could be bailed out (after giving Obama almost $1 million in contributions). A staggering $125 billion went to teachers (thereby protecting their union dues). All those public employees  (unions) will vote loyally Democrat to protect their bloated salaries and pensions that are bankrupting America.

The country goes broke, future generations face a bleak future, but Obama, the Democrat Party, government, and the unions grow more powerful. The ends justify the  means. 

Raise taxes on small business owners, high-income earners, and job creators. Put the entire burden on only the top 20 percent of taxpayers, redistribute the income, punish success, and reward those who did nothing to deserve it (except vote for Obama).

Reagan wanted to dramatically cut taxes in order to starve the government.  Barack Obama wants to dramatically raise taxes to starve his political opposition. With the acts outlined above, Barack Hussien Obama and his regime have created a vast and rapidly expanding constituency of voters dependent on big government; a vast privileged class of public employees (unions ) who work for big government; and a government dedicated to destroying capitalism and installing themselves as socialist rulers by overwhelming the system.  Add it up and you’ve got the perfect Marxist scheme — all devised by my Columbia University college classmate Barack Hussien Obama using the Cloward and Piven Plan.  Note:  This letter was “Correctly attributed” says snopes! http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/overwhelm.asp .

Since congress does not want to spend any more money on this war, our mission in Iraq is complete.

This morning I gave the order for a complete removal of all American forces from Iraq This action will be

complete within 30 days. It is now time to begin the reckoning.


Before me, I have two lists. One list contains the names of countries which have stood by our side during the Iraq conflict. This list is short . The United Kingdom , Spain , Bulgaria , Australia , and Poland are some of the countries listed there.

The other list contains every one not on the first list. Most of the world’s nations are on that list. My press secretary will be distributing copies of both lists later this evening.

Let me start by saying t hat effective immediately, foreign aid to those nations on List 2 ceases immediately and indefinitely. The money saved during the first year alone will pretty much pay for the costs of the Iraqi war. THEN EVERY YEAR THERE AFTER IT’ll GO TO OUR SOCIAL SECURITY SYSTEM SO IT WONT GO BROKE IN 20 YEARS.

The American people are no longer going to pour money into third world Hell holes and watch those government leaders grow fat on corruption.

In the future, together with Congress, I will work to redirect this money toward solving the vexing social problems we still have at home . On that note, a word to terrorist organizations. Screw with us and we will hunt you down and eliminate you and all your friends from the face of the earth.

I have instructed the Mayor of New York City to begin towing the many UN diplomatic vehicles located in Manhattan with more than two unpaid parking tickets to sites where those vehicles will be stripped, shredded and crushed. I don’t care about whatever treaty pertains to this. You creeps have tens of thousands of unpaid tickets. Pay those tickets tomorrow or watch your precious Benz es, Beamers and limos be turned over to some of the finest chop shops in the world. I love New York

A special note to our neighbors. Canada is on List 2. Since we are likely to be seeing a lot more of each other, you folks might want to try not pissing us off for a change.

Mexico is also on List 2 its president and his entire corrupt government really need an attitude adjustmen t. I will have a couple extra thousand tanks and infantry divisions sitting around. Guess where I am going to put ’em? Yep, border security.

Oh, by the way, the United States is abrogating the NAFTA treaty – starting now.

We are tired of the one-way highway. Immediately, we’ll be drilling for oil in Alaska- which will take care of this country’s oil needs for decades to come. If you’re an environmentalist who opposes this decision, I refer you to List 2 above: pick a country and move there.

It is time for America to focus on its own welfare and its own citizens. Some will accuse us of isolationism. I answer them by saying, ‘darn tootin.’

Nearly a century of trying to help folks live a decent life around the world has only earned us the undying enmity of just about everyone on the planet. It is time to eliminate hunger in America It is tim e to eliminate homelessness in America To the nat ions on List 1, a final t hought. Thank you guys. We owe you and we won’t forget.

Islam has religious, legal, political, economic, social, and military components. The religious component is a beard for all of the other components. Islamization begins when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their religious privileges. When politically correct, tolerant, and culturally diverse societies agree to Muslim demands for their religious privileges, some of the other components tend to creep in as well. Here’s how it works: As long as the Muslim population remains around or under 2% in any given country, they will be, for the most part, regarded as a peace-loving minority, and not as a threat to other citizens. This is the case in: United States — Muslim 0.6% Australia — Muslim 1.5% Canada — Muslim 1.9% China — Muslim 1.8% Italy — Muslim 1.5% Norway — Muslim 1.8% At 2% to 5%, they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups, often with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs. In such situations, Muslims do not integrate into the community at large. The children attend madrasses. They learn only the Koran. To even associate with an infidel is a crime punishable with death. Obama appoints two devout Muslims to Homeland Security posts. Doesn’t this make you feel safer already? Obama and Janet Napolitano appoint Arif Alikhan, a devout Muslim, as Assistant Secretary for Policy Development. DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano swore in Kareem Shora, a devout Muslim who was born in Damascus , Syria , as ADC National Executive Director as a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC). NOTE: Has anyone ever heard a new government official being identified as a devout Catholic, a devout Jew or a devout Protestant…? Just wondering. Devout Muslims being appointed to critical Homeland Security positions? Doesn’t this make you feel safer already?? That should make the US homeland much safer, huh!! Was it not “Devout Muslim men” that flew planes into U.S. buildings 10 years ago? Was it not a Devout Muslim who killed 13 at Fort Hood ? Also: This is very interesting and we all need to read it from start to finish. Maybe this is why our American Muslims are so quiet and not speaking out about any atrocities. Can a good Muslim be a good American? This question was forwarded to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20 years. The following is his reply: Theologically -no . . .. Is your home safe from unlawful police entry?

A recent Supreme Court decision now gives police the authority to enter your home without obtaining a search warrant, in expanded circumstances…but the police do have to knock, first, before they break down your door.

The Court ruled on Kentucky v. King that law enforcement have the authority to stage a search and seizure of Americans’ property without obtaining a warrant from a judge.

In this case, police violated the Fourth Amendment when officers invaded the wrong home during a search for a suspect. After busting through the wrong door, police found illegal drugs in the home, which they discovered by error, and without first obtaining a search warrant from a judge.

It doesn’t matter that the apartment they mistakenly invaded was that of a person conducting a criminal act – this ruling has repercussions that adversely affect all Americans, including law-abiding citizens, like you … because THIS SINGLE DECISION by the U.S. Supreme Court HAS STRIPPED EVERY AMERICAN CITIZEN OF THEIR FOURTH AMENDMENT PROTECTIONS!

And in Indiana, the State Supreme Court ruled in Barnes v. State of Indiana that police can enter a resident’s private property at any time – without a warrant, without suspicion, without reason – and without knocking and announcing their presence!

So if you live in Indiana, law enforcement has every right to enter your home right now if they feel like it! IS YOUR STATE NEXT??

Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

The Obama administration is systematically dismantling your Fourth Amendment rights:

• GPS tracking: Right now, police have the ability to tap into your cell phone, smart phone, laptop and navigation device to track your every move, and they can do this without obtaining a warrant. Last year, the Justice Department argued that warrantless tracking is permitted because Americans enjoy no “reasonable expectation of privacy” in their– or at least their cell phones’ — whereabouts.
• Department of Homeland Security (DHS): The DHS recently released a series of terrorist-watch videos “See Something, Say Something” that effectively tell Americans to spy on each other. These video clips depict Americans as terror threats, and then advise citizens to report the behaviors of their fellow citizens.
• Transportation and Security Administration (TSA): Agents at airports across the country have harassed, groped and terrorized innocent Americans – including small children and the elderly – as they attempt to board airplanes. It is not uncommon to hear passengers complain of strip searches and humiliation, all without due cause.
• Jose Guereña: This young Marine and Iraq War veteran was killed by a SWAT team that invaded his home and fired 71 bullets — 22 penetrating Guereña’s body — all because his brother, who did not live with him, was suspected of drug trafficking. Jose Guereña had a clean record, and police never found anything suspicious in his home. Now, his young wife is left to raise their child as a single parent.
• Kelly Thomas: A 37-year-old homeless California resident, who was described by Fullerton residents as “gentile” and “polite,” was tasered and beaten to death by police.

According to the Daily Mail, eyewitnesses said that: “Thomas was unable to put up any resistance and was lying on the ground on his front when the attack took place. His screams and cries for his father were heard amid the tasering noises.

Six officers’ tasered him five times and beat him beyond recognition. Mark Turgeon, who was at the scene, said: ‘They kept beating him and tasering him. I could hear zapping, and he wasn’t even moving. … he wasn’t resisting.’

RedState warns, “[The Fourth Amendment] is bound to come under more pressure the larger the regulatory state grows.”

THIS IS PARTICULARLY DISTURBING BECAUSE, this is similar to what happened in Germany when Hitler enacted dictatorial powers after a series of “decrees” that eroded civil rights and constitutional democracy.

This is the United States of America. We cannot allow a police state to take shape here.

Where will this dangerous pathway end? We cannot continue to allow the majority of our elected representatives to look the other way while the government tramples on our Fourth Amendment protections. The government’s encroachment of our rights will continue as long as we fail to act!

In order for Americans’ Fourth Amendment right to be protected and the justice system to be truly fair, law enforcement must cease warrantless searches of citizens’ private property.

No American citizen should have to be concerned that at any moment, for any reason, a law enforcement official could enter their home without a warrant … or, for that matter, without a reason!

Along with thousands of your fellow Americans, you can DEMAND that members of Congress circumvent the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision by voting for a law that will reclaim and secure our Fourth Amendment protections!

The Supreme Court’s decision has opened the door to allow a nation-wide abuse of power, and there is nothing that we can do – ONLY CONGRESS CAN TAKE ACTION!

If you believe in protecting the property rights and freedoms of law-abiding citizens, then you must continue to POUND CONGRESS until they pass a law that will supersede the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision and ensure that our Fourth Amendment rights are protected!

Remember … the Fourth Amendment was written to protect us from police excess and police mistakes. In this growing police state, officers BECOME THE LAW, and our Constitutional rights cease to exist.

How much longer will you remain silent and continue to be pushed around before you tell every member of Congress to stand up and protect your Fourth Amendment rights? How many more horrible decisions like these must be handed down before you DEMAND Congress protect our Constitution?
